Helping a retail company improve its supply chain efficiency
Davos Consulting was hired by a large retail company to improve its supply chain efficiency. The retail company was facing several issues with its supply chain, including excess inventory, delays in delivery and high transportation costs. We conducted a thorough analysis of the retail company's supply chain operations and identified several areas for improvement. We recommended changes in procurement strategies, centralising processes saving 2% on costs, inventory management, reducing inventory by 6% overall and transportation logistics. As a result, the retail company was able to improve its delivery times and save millions of pounds in transportation costs.
Helping a healthcare provider improve its theatre utilisation
We were engaged by a large healthcare provider to improve its theatre utilisation. The healthcare provider was facing several challenges in theatre utilisation as surgeons favoured 7am starts and to be out of theatre by lunchtime. This resulted in theatres that were under utilised in the afternoon. The organisation were about to spend millions of dollars on new theatre facilities, but we found a way to create a demand during the afternoon and even in the evenings. In increasing utilisation by 35% in one year, we reduced CAPEX by $6m and reduced wait times for operations.
